Dynamic Replanning in Complex and Uncertain Environments
Lead Participant:
SCISYS UK LIMITED
Abstract
To safely and economically meet future needs for operating in uncertain (dynamic) and challenging environments - such as drilling deep wells - ICT systems will need to integrate tasks and actions across multiple and complex assets in the field. Key to this is expected to be the deployment of automated and autonomous (A&A) software technologies that can orchestrate this coordination. UK is a leading RTD actor in this innovative ICT area, particularly in the development of systems that can automate planning and adaptive dynamic scheduling for realtime operations. This proposal brings together two UK industrial leaders (SCISYS and Schlumberger) in their specialist areas (Space and Energy) into a collaboration that marries their skills to realise a prototype demonstration of an entirely new A&A support tool for the drilling community.
