Development of Novel Coalescing Products by Valorization of Waste Streams

Abstract

he project will take by-products (not currently valorised), from a known chemical process, and convert into products which should possess coalescent properties. The market area is water borne paints a market in which we participate, so know very well.
The by-product can be converted, using typical chemical processes that Chemoxy currently excels at, to make materials that are similar in nature to those on the existing market place. These should have better functionality and efficacy as well as being from sustainable and biodegradeable materials. These will be non-toxic and importantly non-VOC. Industry regulators are trending toward legislation driving formulators to improve their paint quality and safety, thus creating a market for our green waste derived coalescents.
