Abstract
The research will evaluate the use of snails in both archaeological and environmental reconstruction. In particular, it will evaluate how modern ecological information on snails can be used to enhance our understanding of past environments and human land use. The research will also put forward an agenda for future research on the use of snails in archaeological and environmental reconstruction.
