Citeseeing in the Cloud

Citeseeing creates technology for the unique identification, digital fingerprinting and search of multimedia objects, with a focus on published documents. The 'Citeseeing in the Cloud' project investigates the feasibility of launching a new service, combining the ability to index and manage local documents with cloud-based metadata management. The feasibility study will focus on advancing the data mining capabilities of Citeseeing technology, apply fingerprinting to uniquely identify published documents, and demonstrate a new model of crowd-sourcing information where metadata is absent, enabling a large and robust searchable index of known published documents to emerge.
