Lead Participant:
AIMES GRID SERVICES COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY
Abstract
This fast track project will create a new form of cloud-based clinical record linkage platform enabling the development of a range of new health informatics services in areas such as surgical outcomes reporting and anonymous newborn testing studies. . The project will innovate not only a new approach to service delivery in the cloud, but also develop a new health-based “Clinical Cloud-based Large-scale Open User Data Store” (C-CLOUD) that will support several applications in cardiac healthcare management and epidemiology, to prove the concept, but will also be adaptable and applicable to other clinical business units in different health domains. Two use cases will be deployed, one in cardiac surgery at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the second with the Institute of Child Health for the Health Protection Agency. The project is a collaboration between AIMES Grid Services, the Institute of Child Health and Cutting Edge Analysis.
