3D Printing of Nanofibre Reinforced Polymer Composites

Lead Participant: SPI3DR LTD

Abstract

Spi3Dr is a start-up micro company based in the South West of England focussing on developing and extending the scope of materials that can be 3D printed. The TSB funded project will enable Spi3dr to carry out a ground breaking proof of concept study in the field of nanotechnology enabled 3D printed composite materials. These materials will offer improvements in strength, thermal and electrical conductivity over conventionally printed thermoplastics and as such could enable a host of new applications for 3D printing in the military, medical and aerospace industries.
