Abstract
Our
project is to develop a new process for producing 'PG Bond' a thermo plastic
polypropylene filament which enables the filaments to be itnerchangeable with any other
thermoplastic filament or filament support. Currently the market is domianted by 'Twintex'
which is a polypropylene filament supported on glass which can only be made in a ratio of
60:40 which cannot be varied. He have coceived a new process which will enable varying
ratios and varying materials to be used. The process will use significantly less electricity in
the production process.
We would like to carry out a market study to explore the potential markets for this new
process and resulting products, including a commercialisation strategy for taking the product
to market.
