TraCT

CANDA Systems is a small but growing business. We have received assistance in the past
from the Business Link West Midlands High Growth programme which has helped us to reorganise
our business and plan our future in a structured way and in line with our customer
needs. We have embraced the findings of a recent customer survey to establish customer
needs and business drivers and to assess future opportunities.
This customer feedback has prompted us to seek to re-invent our products and the TraCT
project addresses one of the key customer needs which is to have a more transparent supply
chain with better communication and sharing of data in real time to deliver world-class
quality, cost, on time delivery and other key metrics including trend analysis. The capabilities
of TraCT will far exceed those of current software tools and it will be considerably less
expensive bringing it into the reach of SMEs for the benefit of the whole supply chain.
CANDA sees an opportunity to develop a unique, wholly cloud-based supply chain portal
which fully utilises the augmented properties of the cloud and provides significant added
value for customers at reduced cost.
This project will develop a cloud based Beta tool, TraCT, ready to trial in 2014 and includes
initial feasibility studies, basic prototyping and basic proof of technical feasibility. If
successful, this technology will be fully transferable to any sector with extensive supply chain
coordination needs.
ROI for this project will be extremely high at about 90 times. This project will be the bedrock
for a significant growth of the business and will safeguard 5 jobs and create approx. 25 highvalue
technical positions over the next 5 years.
This is a significant project for a company the size of CANDA Systems to undertake and will
take considerable internal resource to bring to fruition. However, we understand this is
essential for our future and are committed to making it happen by all means necessary.
