Abstract
To develop high performance, novel, super-hydrophobic, self-cleaning coatings to increase the levels of incident light reaching the photovoltaic device to maximise the efficiency of the module and reduce maintenance costs. Thus encouraging even wider commercial adoption of PV through increased economic return (the value of green energy output divided by the costs of unit manufacture, installation, maintenance and finance).
