| Description | I discovered a great deal about the way the media wishes to interpret the past and how to feed information quickly and concisely to journalists. The BBC team appeared extremely happy with my input and were particularly pleased with the work I helped to prepare for the website. |
| Exploitation Route | If the BBC and AHRC wish to collaborate again, particularly to mark major historical events and anniversaries, the experiences of the entire Our Place in the First World War team members might prove extremely valuable. |

| Description | I supported BBC SE with expert research advice to its team of journalists working on the World War One at Home project. I helped them put together stories based upon local sites of interest, advised on primary materials and ways of interpretation. I took part in a BBC Radio Kent discussion to launch the project and also put together and delivered a presentation for the BBC Road Show event at the Eastbourne Air Show in August 2014. I also helped the BBC online team develop the section on life in the trenches introduced by Dan Snow. |
