Abstract

The project will support fellowships that aim to support:
To support the career development of talented early career researchers and nurture future leaders;
To support the broader skills development of high-calibre recent doctoral graduates or early career post-doctoral researchers in the art and humanities, particularly in relation to working with creative economy partners to support the wider impact of research;
To support projects which will contribute to the Creative Economy;
To support research which is cross-disciplinary, collaborative and innovation-orientated.

Description These fellowships are designed with two key outcomes in mind (1) to support the development of early career/post doctoral researchers into their respective academic and non-academic fields, that is, about supporting the pipeline beyond the PhD. (2) to support the productivity (broadly defined) of the external organisations that are partners in the fellowships and therefore the regional economies of the North-East of England and Northern Ireland more broadly.
Exploitation Route The activities - both those embedded in the work of the placement holder in their host institution and with their host's wider partners and networks will act as a template for short term but deep drive partnership working to co-produce innovative outcomes.
