| Description | The key findings thus far are that there is need to have a critical understanding of how the fields of cultural heritage and the creative industries are being welded together within the composite term CCIs (cultural and creative industries). The project has take an approach which is to take note of the significant policy at play which cut across economic, political, diplomatic and arts and cultural policies. Focusing mainly on the UK-India bilateral relationship, the fellowship is now also honing in on how the two respective national contexts are not only informing one another but are contributing to global developments in the CCIs. The need for specific attentiveness to issues around social justice, ethics and equity has been a particular finding and recommendation in the reporting, presentations as well as publications. |
| Exploitation Route | The projects funded by the UK-India research into CCIs will be part of the findings and how they might be taken forward in how the projects respectively conduct their research. It is also likely that the fellowship will inform AHRC CCIs policy at some level, whether in the UK or with specific reference to India. |
