| Impact | CEPAMS has been a scientific and diplomatic success story. It has: ? supported 29 excellent CEPAMS collaborative research projects between CAS researchers and those at JIC (example outputs below); ? established 8 CEPAMS laboratories in Beijing and Shanghai, led by international, world-leading scientists and employing over 80 staff and students; ? organised 6 CEPAMS symposia bringing together scientists from CEPAMS partners and international guests (including those from the developing world) ? nurtured the Sino-UK bilateral relationship providing opportunities for UK Ministers, senior officials and learned societies to engage with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Government; ? encouraged "ABC" (Africa-Britain-China) collaborations.; ? established world-class governance, management and scientific quality assurance mechanisms. |
