Lead Research Organisation: University of Southampton
Department Name: Development Origin of Health and Disease

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description This grant commenced summer 2014 and over three years allowed the development of innovative methods to generate 3D scaffolds for application in orthopaedics. New linkage with China Medical University Stem Cells Group established and new research collaborations
Exploitation Route Process of developing 3D scaffolds is in progress and can be applied across healthcare sector
Sectors Healthcare

Description The sharing of research knowledge has led to the development of a new research programme in 3D printing for regenerative application in orthopaedics via a studentship that commenced October 2014 -and complete din Dec 2018. Work has proved very successful- a number of collaborations established with China Medical University as a result of this award. Successful completion of PhD Thesis and additional publications in 2018 and 2019
