Description | We have developed a non-infectious form of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) genome that enables us to introduce mutations into the genome such that these mutations attenuates the virus - potential vaccine strains. These genomic forms have been sent to our collaborator in India (the Indian Veterinary Research Institute at Bangalore) such that they can create FMDV viruses for testing in animals. |
Exploitation Route | Yes, our collaboratoris in India will take the work forward into animal vaccine trials. |
