High-Resolution Sonars: What Resolution Do We Need for Target Recognition?
in EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing
Description | The development of a new Multiple Input Multiple Output Sonar framework has given a new insight into how super-resolution can be obtained from such systems. This was demonstrated in the project and has since been used for further studies in the EPSRC funded UK Defense research centre in Signal Processing (UDRC) where it will be used for harbour protection and Submarine detection. |
Exploitation Route | The findings are currently used in the UK defense research Centre in Signal Processing (UDRC) and is also taken forward commercially by Hydrason, a spin out company of Heriot-Watt University. |
