Description Collector-generator systems have wide potential applications in analysis. We have shown how to make more sensitive and specific measurements by a combination of theory and experiment. We expect significant impact on the analytical community.
Exploitation Route We have published a review article on collector generator systems which already has 78 citations (Web of Science 2020).

We have established a collaboration with a Spanish SME, Micrix (http://www.micruxfluidic.com/). This company makes dual electrode systems for analysis and we are together working on the optimisation of their commercial products.

Collector-Generator systems are of wide use in energy research (notably in oxygen reduction). Our papers are already cited in this context.

Description Yes, the SME Micrux have made extensive use of our work in relation to their products, notably microband electrodes and arrays thereof. The collaboration continued throughout the project but not after.

PI Contribution We developed theory to simulate dual electrode experiments at interdigitated bands and rings, which successfully reproduced experimental results.
Collaborator Contribution Micrux technologies carried out experiments to validate our simulations, and have provided us with electrodes woth which we are carryin gout further research.
