Catalytic Ambiphilic C-H Activation: Mechanism and Exploitation

Lead Research Organisation: Heriot-Watt University
Department Name: Sch of Engineering and Physical Science

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description Insight into the action of transition metal catalysts
Exploitation Route In the design of more effective catalysts. For a series of related substrates the selectivity can change dependent on the reaction conditions. Hence, assigning a reaction mechanism to these types of reaction based on a single set of conditions can lead to erroneous conclusions.
