Description | This grant has led us to a prototype method for detecting fraudulent alcohol (spirits) with the measurement made through-bottle, and the data collected analysed using techniques developed on the project. The focus is on rapid, automated data analysis and great potential for low-cost, high throughput measurements. |
Exploitation Route | The through-bottle measurement and data analysis may be adopted into the drinks industry. This project has led directly to a BBSRC CASE PhD studentship, with the industrial partner being the Scottish Whisky Research Institute. |
