Description This research demonstrated the possibility of producing curved fiber composite laminates using a low-cost manual layup process, showcasing the potential of such non-conventional composite design.
Exploitation Route A collaborative research with an industrial partner aiming at producing a tangible technology demonstrator would be an ideal route.

Description The project demonstrated the feasibility of a low-cost manual fiber-steering technique using dry fabrics. The manufacturing process developed can allow ordinary individuals to explore the benefits of curving fibre laminate designs in small composite parts without requiring expensive automated fibre placement.
