PI Contribution This research programme is interested in chemical activation in low temperature oxidation chemistry. In this collaboration, we have provided atmospheric pressure plasma jets to study oxidation of simple hydrocarbons.
Collaborator Contribution Our partner has provided state of the art mid-infrared frequency combs with which to spectroscopically interrogate hydrocarbon carrying plasma jets.
Impact The results of these initial studies will be published in a forthcoming Master thesis.
Start Year 2024

Results and Impact The PDRA on this project is Algerian and a TV crew from his homeland has recently visited the lab to produce a short video that seeks to inspire young Algerian students to go into academic research.
