Abstract
Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

PI Contribution | NOTE: The team at Oxford Univ. are the coordinators of this EPSRC project (Prof. Michael Johnston at Oxford in the PI). -Our contribution to date refers to the fabrication of THz Nanowire sensing systems using heterogeneous integration techniques. Specifically, we are using transfer-printing fabrication process to integrate III-V Nanowire devices at desired locations and with desired orientations in the THz antennas substrates fabricated by Oxford. |
Collaborator Contribution | The team at Oxford have designed the THz detectors. They provide the growth of the THz antennas and the processes required to deliver the full THz sensing platform, before and after the processes carried out at Strathclyde for the integration of the Nanowire devices. |
Impact | -First generation of systems undergoing fabrication/characterisation right now. -Conference paper submission. Future joint publications are expected, |
Start Year | 2022 |
Description | Rank Prize Fund Symposium on Nanowire Photonics |
Form Of Engagement Activity | Participation in an activity, workshop or similar |
Part Of Official Scheme? | No |
Geographic Reach | International |
Primary Audience | Other audiences |
Results and Impact | Participation in residential Workshop on Nanowire Photonics organised by the Rank Prize Fund. The purpose of the event is to bring together research world leaders in an emerging field in photonics (nanowire photonics in this case) together with PDRAs and PhD Students to hold discussions, share own research and advance the field. |
