Results and Impact | About 15 professional engineers from deign consultancies attended a workshop on design of steel connections according to EN 1993-1-1, which was held online on 6/12/2023. Although primarily aimed at designing conventional connections under static loads, robustness of steel structures, the importance of connections and ways to increase connection ductility, which is the main topic of the research grant, were also covered. Furthermore, photos and graphs obtained from experimental tests and FE analysis conducted as part of this project (RESIST) were utilized. The workshop was well attended and a series of follow-up workshops have been scheduled, the first one on 8/05/2024 were a higher number of participants is expected. |
