| Description | The main published outcome from the work at Imperial on this project so far is our paper "PCQ: Parallel Compact Quantum Circuit Simulation". This outlines the design of a custom accelerator device for simulating quantum computations - and therefore a potentially crucial tool in supporting the design of future quantum computing devices. This design is shown to offer high efficiency (total energy to solution) compared with standard widely-used alternative tools. We have further work in progress, also on simulation of quantum computers but using more conventional computing hardware, through operator fusion techniques. |
