Results and Impact This was a general public lecture on the history of silk materials for raising awareness of the Bioeconomy as part of the a BioClub event co-organised and held at the University of Sheffield alongside the Bioladies. A series of other talks were given, including Floreon, Natural Materials for Retrofitting Houses, Mucus and an Introduction to the Bioeconomy.

As part of the talk, the new SPINS project was discussed, as this helped to frame the idea of future careers after a PhD.
