Talk Factory: supporting 'exploratory talk' around an interactive whiteboard in primary school science plenaries

Description | a generic version of Talk Factory (suitable for use to support whole class discussion in any subject area) has been developed. It has been promoted by Cornwall Learning and is now in use in a wide range of Cornish primary and secondary schools. A case study has been conducted on its use by three teachers in one Cornish secondary school and a paper is currently under review for publication in an international journal. A further study has been conducted in a primary school in Milton Keynes and a paper is currently in progress. |
