Results and Impact | I was invited to be a member of the steering group on Women and Children's Health: Evidence of Impact of Human Rights convened by the Assistant Director General of Women, Children and Family Health at the World Health Organisation, Geneva. The objective of the group was to evaluate the impact of human rights on women's and children's health and produce a monograph setting out WHO guidelines in this area aimed at policy makers across the organisation's' 170 member countries. The monograph was produced and released in 2013. There were two follow up meetings in Geneva and Harvard with NGOs and academics respectively. A further special issue from the latter meeting was brought out in 2015. I co-authored and individually authored contributions to both these outputs. These works have subsequently been cited in the reports of other international organisations such as the UNFPA and UNICEF. |
