Results and Impact | An overview of the main findings of the project were presented at a seminar held at King's College London. This was attended by academics, policy-makers, veteran charity organisations, military personnel and commentators, as well as the Rt Hon. Mark Francois, Minster for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans. A second, shorter presentation was made by an Armed Forces representative, which focused on military and public perceptions of 'veterans'. While unrelated to the main study, its subject matter is linked to it. Following the presentations, an open discussion was held about the themes emerging from the research and the potential implications. A handout was given to all participants and made available on-line via the KCMHR website and twitter feed. |
