Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description The purpose of this grant was to give me the time needed to publish research from my PhD and to put myself into a strong position to obtain further postdoctoral employment. I have now published several articles in peer reviewed journals. Part way through my 1-year fellowship I was offered a 3-year postdoctoral position, and so cut short my fellowship to take up the new role.
Exploitation Route Published findings written during my fellowship are mainly of interest to behavioural genetic researchers. They demonstrate genetic involvement in environmental exposure to risk factors and highlight the importance of considering gene-environment correlation in understanding the role of environmental risk in the development of adolescent psychopathology.
