Queen Mary, University of London - Discipline Bridging Initiative

The QMUL Discipline Bridging Inititiative will help bring together researchers with different backgrounds, for example engineers and biologists, to tackle key research issues relevant to medical research.

The QMUL Discipline Bridging Initiative will achieve and enhancement of multidisciplinary activity at Queen Mary, University of London, via the following aims and objectives.

Strategic aims
? To establish infrastructure and support conducive to the development of multidisciplinary collaborations across QMUL and beyond
? To establish QMUL as a leading international centre of excellence for multidisciplinary programmes of research

Objectives
? To facilitate staff mobility and circumvent barriers to working across traditional medical, science and engineering disciplines
? To enhance awareness of multidisciplinary activity across QMUL
? To support pump-priming research leading to multidisciplinary grant proposals
? To support discipline bridging activities including training
? To support inward and outward research visits, aimed at the development of multidisciplinary capacity at QMUL
