Department Name: Oxford Physics
Abstract
The nature of the dark matter in the Universe is of scientific and general public interest. Understanding what the majority of the matter density is would advance mankind's knowledge and satify everyone's desire for understanding the world around us. This grant will allow UK researchers to participate in the exploitation phase of the EDELWEISS experiment, a dark matter seach located in the Modane underground laboratory in a road tunnel between France and Italy.
