Description This grant allowed the UK team to develop and test an early prototype chip using new MAPs technology. The findings had an input into the final MAPs pixel chip design to be used by the ALICE experiment at the CERN LHC.
Exploitation Route As mentioned above, many of the key design features of this chip were incorporated in the final design of the ALICE pixel chip.
