An investigation of the very rare $$ {K}^{+}\to {\pi}^{+}\nu \overline{\nu} $$ decay
in Journal of High Energy Physics
Description | This grant has allowed the UK participation in the field of very rare kaon decays. These are special particle interaction that are very well predicted by the Standard Model of Particle Physics, while being very rare; therefore any enhancement is a clear evidence for new physics; if there is no evidence, then new physics models can be constrained and refined. |
Exploitation Route | The output of the research is been used to constrain physics models and is being combined with other measurements from different research in the field. |
Sectors | Education |
Description | This award has allowed the UK to remain in the NA48/NA62 experiment. This has allowed us to be in several publications (see list), and to progress with the research in rare kaon decays. |
