Travel support for Edinburgh PATT observers 2012-2014
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Physics and Astronomy
Abstract
We request a continued roll-forward of our PATT grant (ST/H008594/1), for support for telescope travel and subsistence at the existing level of £12000 per year.
This funding level matches well to the actual spend-rate for the current grant. With the SCUBA2 legacy survey observing now commencing, our PATT funding
requirements are unlikely to decrease in the next 2-3 years, and may even grow further.

Description | This grant funded travel and subsistence for observations to be carried out at world-leading telescopes around the globe. These observations, and their analysis funded through other grants, have led to a wide range of new astrophysics discoveries. |
Exploitation Route | The data are being analysed as part of other grants. Some of the observations are for public surveys which will be used by a wide range of astronomers. |
