Abstract

The aim of the project is to produce hybrid nanocarbon aerogels as support for layered double hydroxides. Carbon dioxide adsorption is used as a model application to test the hybrid material properties. Advantages of the supporting architectures used include high surface area, electrical conductivity, accessible porosity, low density, mechanical robustness and Joule heating capability.
