Abstract

The aim of this study is to research and develop non-screen based digital kinetic technologies with heritage organisations and an SME specialist so as to engage children and young people (C+YP) with sites and collections. The study will investigate how kinetic digital interaction can be used as an ongoing progressive engagement medium in the future. This fulfils the NPIF criteria of creating transformative digital technologies for Creative Industries. This is valuable research across a range of academic fields (heritage studies, Human-Computer Interaction, childhood studies), which lays a foundation for future, ongoing collaborations within and between creative-sector SMEs and heritage agencies.
