Plant Anatomics

This research will evaluate and develop phenotyping techniques for characterising plant anatomy at multiple scales and in multiple species. Techniques will include microscopy and laser ablation tomography of roots, stems and aerial parts of crop and model species. Novel analysis techniques including computational image analysis and deep learning will be used to answer fundamental and applied questions related to plant anatomical organisation
