Abstract
This research will demonstrate the value of the curatorial to establish
new models for cross-disciplinary collaboration in order to redefine
the capabilities of the arts in relation to STEM practices, and
rebalance the predominance of the STEM agenda in current
educational and cultural discourses and policies. Reviewing significant
historical models of cross-disciplinary collaboration from avant-garde
movements of the 60s - the Artist Placement Group, Fluxus and
Experiments in Art + Technology - the research will establish new
methodologies and models to inform the STEAM agenda.
