Abstract
Research Questions.
1. How can theatre practice be interrogated and developed to present both biographical disruption (of the life story) and cancer narrative disruption (of the dominant discourses)?
2. What are the challenges of narrative self-representation in the context of serious illness, such as cancer, when both treatment and recovery may be deeply destabilizing? How can performance practice facilitate a sense of secure subjectivity while working with and through disrupted biography?
3. How can auto/biographical methods and forms be developed to represent more intersectional and inclusive approaches to cancer narratives?
