British Muslim Communities' Engagement with Theatre

The project will investigate the ways in which the British Muslim community has engaged with theatre, as artists, as audience members, and as a public over the past several decades and in the present. It is being conducted in collaboration with Khayaal Theatre Company, Britain's leading theatre company serving the Muslim community. The research will benefit from unparalleled and unprecedented access to use of Khayaal's extensive archives, its network of collaborators and stakeholders, and its rehearsal and development process.
