Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: School of Humanities
Abstract
This research explores the untapped histories of photographic digitisation practices that developed in archives and libraries over the past 30 years, to uncover how staff skillset dynamics have influenced the selection, quality, and metadata-capture of digitised photographic collections. As a new generation of digital-native professionals emerges and first-generation digitisation staff retires, this is a timely moment to consider first-hand accounts.
