Solicited review on the treatment and control of chlamydial and rickettsial infections of sheep and goats. Small ruminants are susceptible to several chlamydial and rickettsial infections. Some of them, such as Ehrlichia ruminantium, have a great impact on the sheep and goat industry while others, such as Coxiella burnetii, are important zoonotic agents.
