The chapter examines the Islam-West relations in the light of earlier predictions the author has made about the direction these relations could take. It concludes that the conflicts that exist are about concrete issues, including economic interests, and not about issue of culture and ideology. Policy makers should thus address these concrete issues and not waste time on issues that are not of the essence.
