Abstract
An investigation into the representation of London cinema since 1945 which combines detailed analysis of films ranging from 'Passport to Pimlico' to 'Notting Hill' with attention to broader socio-historical cultural factors. The project examines many London-set films, including 'My Fair Lady' and 'Pressure' and the changing role of key landmarks such as St. Paul's, Trafalgar Square, the River and the London Underground.
