Department Name: Mathematics
Abstract
Given a family of algebraic varieties over a number field, the goal of this project is to
understand the distribution of elements in the family which give rise to counterexamples
to the Hasse principle. One of the key goals is to find a family which gives
a positive proportion of counter-examples.
