High valent, low-coordinate organoiron chemistry
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Bristol
Department Name: Chemistry
Abstract
The project will focus on the synthesis, isolation and study of high valent, low-coordinate
orgoanometallic complexes of iron and other first row transition metals. In particular we will
explore the relevance of such species as either pre-catalysts for or active catalysts in known
and novel catalytic transformations. These transformations will include catalytic CH
functionalisation processes and olefin metathesis.
