Lead Research Organisation:
University of Bristol
Department Name: Sch for Policy Studies
Abstract
The project on which this PhD study is based will use narrative research methods to elicit stories from people with
Autistic Spectrum Disorder who have experienced homelessness. By systematically and thematically
analysing their accounts of lived experience, the project aims to gain insight into this relatively unexplored phenomenon,
and to develop an understanding of risk factors to homelessness amongst people with autism. The student will work directly with participants
in order to ensure their views are heard and accurately represented.
