Random walks on looptrees

Abstract
Eleanor's work is focussed on alpha-stable looptrees, recently introduced by Curien and Kortchemski. In particular, she is exploring related sequences of random walks on discrete looptrees via a study of the resistance metric on the latter objects, and properties of the limiting diffusions. This work will lead towards understanding random walks on more complex graphs arising in critical percolation, which is a natural model for studying the dynamical properties of disordered media.

Description | We have established random walk "exponents", i.e. numbers which quantitatively measure the speed of a random walk, for random walks on looptrees. |
Exploitation Route | I am now working on similar questions for "generalised looptrees" which are applicable to a range of physics models on random surfaces. |
