A global magnetospheric model of Saturn
Lead Research Organisation:
Imperial College London
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
Utilising data from the 13 year orbital tour by the Cassini spacecraft within the Saturnian magnetosphere, the work will focus on magnetospheric dynamics as well as the construction of a global model of Saturn's magnetic environment, incorporating the internal dynamo field, the magnetospheric current sheet field, effects from magnetopause currents as well as field aligned current system effects.
