Abstract
I am passionate about implementing design-lead thinking in business. While I mainly have experience applying creative problem solving and commercial skills to traditional British industries - namely art, architecture and fashion - through this PhD I'd like to map the best ways to transport traditional British industries into today's digital world.

I was interviewing the tenants creative industries firmslocated in each of these four locations. The reports were read by the Managing Directors or other senior Directors of all four sites. Some directors decided to share the information with their tenants, whom I had interviewed and/or surveyed. The directors at the four locations were asked to give feedback on the research. Their feedback forms included statements such as, "The report about International Trade at [location x] was fascinating, and very unexpected. I had no idea that our tenants were so involved in international trade." Another Managing Director wrote, "The research itself gathered some fascinating results and insights which have lead to outcomes [including]. We have just signed a 2-year deal with the Chamber of Commerce to deliver business support for businesses, which will include support addressing the issues raised in the research findings." |
